Carbondale Chamber Member Benefit

Everybody sends email. Few do it well.

Email is the highest returning channel in digital marketing and the only one you actually own. We have been building email programs for over 15 years. If you have been collecting addresses and not doing much with them, you are sitting on the most valuable marketing asset your business has.

Before we talk about us

Why email is worth your attention at all

If you already know this part, skip to how the program works. If email has always felt like the thing you are supposed to be doing without anyone explaining why, start here.

Nobody can change the terms on you

Social platforms rent you access to an audience you built yourself, and they adjust the rent whenever they feel like it. An email address given to you with permission is yours. No algorithm sits between you and the person who asked to hear from you.

Highly targetable

Different people, different message

The customer who booked last spring does not need the same email as the one who has never bought anything. Segmenting your list means the right message goes to the right group, which is most of the difference between an email that works and one that annoys people.

Measurable

You find out what actually happened

Who opened it, who clicked, who bought, and which subject line did better. You can test a real question and get a real answer within a day, then apply it to everything after.

The list you already have is doing nothing

Most local businesses have been collecting email addresses for years. At the register, on a booking form, in a fishbowl by the door. Those contacts are people who already chose you once and told you they were willing to hear from you again. Left alone, that list ages, decays, and eventually becomes a deliverability problem instead of an asset. Used well, it is a standing audience for every announcement, event, and slow week you ever need to fill, and it costs almost nothing to reach them again.

What usually goes wrong

The problems you cannot see from your own inbox

Your email looked fine when you sent it. That tells you almost nothing about what happened next.

It never arrived

Authentication misconfigured, domain reputation quietly damaged, or enough dead addresses on the list to trip a spam filter. The send reports as successful either way. You just never hear back.

It arrived broken

What renders cleanly in Gmail on a laptop can collapse in Outlook, in dark mode, or on a phone. That last one is where most of your list is reading, and around half of people delete an email outright when it is not built for mobile.

Nobody could read it

Text baked into images, contrast too low, no structure for a screen reader. Accessibility stops being optional the moment a real share of your customers needs it, and accessible email lifts engagement by as much as 25 percent. Accessibility, deliverability, and return are the same conversation.

It never went out at all

Email slides to the bottom of the list because there is always something more urgent. Six weeks pass, then the next send lands on people who have forgotten they signed up. Businesses that send on a steady rhythm outperform sporadic senders by 30 to 50 percent, and reliability beats intensity every time.

Why bring us in

The parts that are hard to do alone

You can open a self-serve account this afternoon and send something by tonight. What you cannot do this afternoon is build the things underneath that decide whether it lands.

Sending reputation you inherit rather than build

Mail providers decide where your message goes partly based on the reputation of the infrastructure it came from. A brand new self-serve account starts at zero and has to earn trust slowly, often by getting filtered first. We send from established infrastructure with a reputation built and maintained over years, and your mail benefits from that on day one.

Compliance handled for you

Working unsubscribe links, opt-outs honored on time, a valid physical address on every send, honest subject lines, and permission records that hold up if anyone ever asks. None of it is complicated. All of it is easy to get wrong, and getting it wrong carries real penalties.

Reporting built to be read

A custom reporting suite that pulls your numbers together and puts them in front of you in a form you can act on. Not a dashboard you have to learn. Data-driven email marketers see 20 to 40 percent higher performance than those working on instinct, and measurement is the whole reason why.

A template built around your brand

Designed to hold your look, tested against real mail clients, and structured so you drop content in rather than rebuilding the layout every month. Your links, checked. No other company's logo sitting at the bottom of your email.

How it works

It starts the same way. Then you choose who runs it.

Every program begins with setup, because setup is what decides whether anything you send afterward actually lands. What happens after that is up to you, and you do not have to hand the whole thing over to get the benefit of doing it right.

Setup: the part that makes everything else work

Included either way

This is the foundation, and it is the same whether we run your sends or you do. It is also the piece the Chamber benefit comes off.

One

Custom template

Built in your branding, structured so you drag content in rather than rebuilding the layout every time. No other company's logo at the bottom.

Two

Sending domain

Authentication configured properly so mail from you is recognized as being from you. This is most of the difference between the inbox and the spam folder.

Three

List cleanup

Your existing contacts reviewed and imported. Dead addresses out, because enough of them will sink an otherwise healthy send.

Four

Proofing standard

We establish how every send gets checked: across real mail clients, on phones, in dark mode, with links verified and accessibility reviewed.

Hand it over

Crystal Springs Managed

We write and lay out each send in your template, proof it, and send it on the schedule you approved. You look at it before it goes and you read the results afterward. Nothing else lands on your desk.

  • Good fit when email keeps sliding to the bottom of the list because there is always something more urgent.
  • Includes the reporting suite and ongoing deliverability maintenance.
  • Monthly, and never discounted.
Keep it in house

You send it

You are on our platform with the template we built and the setup we configured. Your team writes and sends, and we are behind you when something looks wrong or a deliverability question comes up.

  • Good fit when you already have someone in house who likes doing this and just needs better tools underneath them.
  • Same sending reputation, same template, same compliance handling.
  • Lower monthly cost. The setup that makes it work is identical.
Be clear about this part

The list is yours. The work is what you pay for.

Every contact on your list belongs to you. You can export the whole thing any day of the week, for any reason, without asking us. If you ever decide to go somewhere else, you leave with your list intact. We do not hold it hostage and we do not rent it back to you.

What you are paying us for is the work. Building the template. Writing and laying out each send. Proofing it across the mail clients your people actually use. Keeping your sending domain in good standing so the next one lands. Staying on top of compliance. Pressing send on a schedule and telling you afterward what happened.

That work does not stop being work once the template exists, which is why a program is a monthly arrangement rather than a one-time purchase. The asset is yours. The labor is ours.

Yours, permanently
Your subscriber list, your contact data, your branding, and the content of everything we send on your behalf.
What you pay for
The platform and its sending reputation, the build, the proofing, compliance, reporting, and the send itself, every month.
If you leave
You take the list. No export fee, no waiting period, no conversation about whether you are allowed to.

Email Program Audit

A written review of what your email program is actually doing: deliverability, list health, rendering across real devices, accessibility, cadence, and whether the platform you pay for fits how you work. A business the size of most chamber members takes 1 to 3 hours, so $100 to $300 at the member rate. Larger or more tangled programs take longer, and we cap any engagement at 20 hours so it can never run away from you.

$125 $100 per hour, and most audits run 1 to 3 20% off

The member benefit, in plain language

  • Current Carbondale Chamber members in good standing.
  • Twenty percent off setup with a new monthly program, and 20 percent off our audit hourly rate.
  • The setup discount applies to either run model, managed by us or managed in house.
  • New Crystal Springs Marketing clients only.
  • Discounts and credits never stack. If more than one applies, you get the largest single one.
  • Monthly service is never discounted. The benefit applies to setup and to audit hours.
  • The audit and the setup discount are separate benefits. Both are available to you, and the audit fee is not credited against setup.
  • No end date. We review the terms once a year.
  • Mention the Chamber when you reach out and we will apply it.

Wherever you are with this, start with a conversation
